Stainless Steel Mesh Pad Demister Industrial Standard HG/T 21618-1998

 

"Mesh demister" is a Chinese regulations refering to wire mesh demister / mist eliminator. It is mainly appliable in the column-shape gas-liquid separation devices used in chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, light industry and environmental protection. The wire mesh demister can eliminate droplet of 3-5 micro meters from flow gas.

The wire mesh mist eliminator is made of wire mesh pad(s), grids and some space rods. The knitted wire mesh tube are corrugated into crimped type and put together layer by layer, to form the mesh pad.

If you find out that the specific area can not be calculated out by wire diameter neither 0.28mm nor 0.23mm, that is correct. I suppose the data came out of a flat wire 0.1*0.4mm. If we talk about maths calculation only, a round wire of 0.16mm can also be OK to reach such specific area data. Though these two methods lead to same data of specific area, their performance and applications need to be checked carefully still.
