1. Hualai M125Y structured packing in mass production

3. M125Y structured packing self-distribution


The liquid drips on the filler from the distributor, adheres to the surface of the filler and flows randomly along the surface, and some liquid drips from the boundary of the filler. The geometry of the packing determines the axial and radial velocity of the liquid flow. The physical quantity that characterizes the radial velocity is called the radial dispersion coefficient. The results show that the radial dispersion coefficient (DR) of bulk packing increases with the increase of packing size. The better the permeability (the lower the pressure) is, the smaller the DR (i.e. the smaller the radial mixing degree of liquid) is. At the same time, due to the non-uniform void fraction, the liquid is easy to gather in the process of flowing down along the filler to form the gully and stream. When the dispersion and focusing reach equilibrium, a stable flow distribution is formed, that is, the natural flow distribution of this kind of filler. The larger DR is, the smaller the height of filler required to reach the natural flow distribution is.
Due to the regular geometry of structured packing, the liquid flows along a specific channel, the radial dispersion coefficient of structured packing is much higher than that of bulk packing, and the flow uniformity of natural flow distribution is also much higher than that of bulk packing.


4. M125Y structured packing manufacturing requirements


According to the requirements, punching, rolling fine grain (or rolling grain equivalent to fine grain) and corrugation of raw stainless steel belt shall be made into corrugation belt of orifice plate, and then the corrugation plate shall be cut into pieces according to different chord length on the cross section of packing plate and the requirements of packing plate assembly or block assembly.

The packing plate is composed of a number of corrugated plates arranged vertically and evenly. The corrugation angle of the two adjacent orifice plates is overlapped in the opposite direction.
