Geometric parameters of metal structured packing layer
Corrugated packing is widely used in structured packing. Its geometric parameters are generally characterized by the geometric structure and characteristic size of the corrugated sheet, which is the monomer of the packing layer.

Generally, the B ≈ h and ξ of corrugated packing are 75 - 90, 78 - 81, φ = 45 (Y type), 30 (X type).

Metal structured packing is made of a thin metal plate being punched and corrugated. As there are many small spines due to surface pitting, the separation efficiency are improved with prolonged retention time on the surface and more sufficient exchange of vapor and liquid drop. The diameter of the punched hole is 4 ~ 5mm, which is usually made of ultra-low carbon corrosion resistant stainless steel material, used for oil industry, fine chemical industry, pharmaceutical equipment, etc.
