2. Monel 400 Wire Mesh Corrosion Resistance Demister Structure,

 

The mesh pad demister is mainly constructed by wire mesh and grids (options). The pad consists multiple layers of fabric-knitted from metals and synthetic fiber monofilament chosen to suit the particular duty requirements. After knitting each layer is crimped and then converted into desired size or shape or pads. The pads are not entirely rigid and generally supported by open grid structure. The grids usually adopt stainless steel 25mm*3mm flat bars and Φ6mm round rods. Sometimes 25*10mm PP grids and special PTFE grids are also used.

The alloy has excellent corrosion resistance in hydrofluoric acid and fluorine gas medium, as well as in hot concentrated alkali solution. At the same time, it is also resistant to the corrosion of neutral solution, water, seawater, atmosphere, organic compounds, etc. An important feature of the alloy is that it generally does not produce stress corrosion cracks and has good cutting performance. The structure of MONEX 400 alloy is single phase solid solution with high strength.

 

4. Monel 400 Wire Mesh Demister Corrosion Resistance,

 

Corrosion resistance: Monel 400 alloy has excellent corrosion resistance in fluorine, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrofluoric acid and their derivatives. At the same time, it has better corrosion resistance than copper base alloy in seawater. Acid medium: Monel 400 is corrosion resistant in sulfuric acid with concentration less than 85%. Monel 400 is one of the few important materials that can resist hydrofluoric acid. Water corrosion: in most cases of water corrosion, Monel 400 alloy not only has excellent corrosion resistance, but also has few pitting corrosion and stress corrosion. The corrosion rate is less than 0.025mm/a. High temperature corrosion: the maximum temperature of Monel 400 in continuous operation is about 600 ℃, and the corrosion rate is less than 0.026mm/a in high temperature steam. Ammonia: due to the high nickel content of Monel 400 alloy, it can resist the corrosion of anhydrous ammonia below 585 ℃ and ammoniation.
