1. Stainless Steel Perforated Plate Corrugated Packing
This standard is prepared by the national chemical engineering design technology center station organized by China Petroleum and Chemical Engineering Survey and Design Association. In the process of compiling, the author compared the foreign corrugated packing with the stainless steel corrugated packing produced by the domestic manufacturers in the technical level of structural dimension, characteristic parameters and manufacturing process, and worked out the standards suitable for the actual industrial situation.
This standard puts forward clear requirements for the structural dimension, material requirements, processing and manufacturing of stainless steel orifice corrugated packing, as well as the inspection method, acceptance rules, product packaging, storage and transportation of the packing.

structured packing uses the industry standard corrugated perforated and embossed sheet metal design to provide efficient vapour-liquid contact. The style of the embossed surface has been optimised to provide maximum wetability and numerous perforations enhance cross mixing of the process fluids. Type Y has a crimp angle of 45° and type X 30°. Suitable liquid irrigation range from below 0.5 up to 200 m3/m2.hr.

4. Function of structured packing in distillation column
Through the packing, the two-phase flow is upward and downward convection. Gravity is the driving force of liquid flow, and pressure difference is the driving force of gas flow. The two phase flow is mass transfer and heat transfer through the two forms of film surface and spray. The mass transfer and heat transfer of the two phases in the plate column take place in the gas-liquid mixed phase on the upper surface of the tray, on the liquid layer surface of the downcomer and on the bubbling area caused by the mass transfer elements.
